My name is Stephanie Pagones. I am a journalism student in Boston University’s College of Communication, graduating in May 2016. I have dedicated much of my time at BU to gaining knowledge and experience in the constantly changing field of journalism, through courses in print journalism, online journalism and multimedia journalism, to name a few. I enjoy writing and taking photos and videos, and am proficient in the use of social media websites, Methode, SEO keywords, Digital SLR cameras and video cameras. My main goal as a journalist is to be multi-faceted, adaptable and always willing to learn new things.

Previous experience includes positions at the New York Post working for various news teams. I will be returning to the Post this summer for my second year as an investigative reporting intern for the Sunday News Team, a job I had previously held in the summer 2014. I also worked for the NY Post from December 2014 to January 2015 as an on-scene reporter, for which my job was to report breaking and ongoing news, interview witnesses and gather quotes and background information on-scene.

While at BU, I have spent much of my time with The Daily Free Press, BU’s independent student newspaper, where I rose from staff writer to associate news editor, and later to city news editor. Earlier in my college career, I spent time working for The BUZZ, BU’s student magazine, and Off The Cuff Magazine, an independent student fashion magazine.

Additional experience also includes more than two years (and counting) as an investigative assistant at Pagones-O’Neill, a private investigation firm, where my job includes conducting background checks and person searches. To do so, I utilize online databases, such as, and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles online database; search engines, such as Google, Bing and Yahoo; and social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google+. I am a licensed private investigator in the State of New York under Pagones-O’Neill.
